Capitrea

Privacy policy

Effective from 10 October 2026

Capitrea is an app for a personal overview of your investments and assets. This page describes what data about you it processes, why, and who it is shared with.

What data we process

  • Data from signing in with Google: your email address, name and Google account identifier. The app never sees your Google account password.
  • Data you enter into the app: names of portfolios and accounts, transactions (buys, sells, dividends, deposits, fees), cash balances, target weights and statement files from brokers. Only the transactions are stored from statements; the files themselves and bank account numbers are not stored.
  • Technical data: sign-in cookies and server logs needed to run and secure the service.

Why we process it

Only so that we can provide the app to you: sign you in, store your data and calculate the value, returns and tax overview. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising or profiling.

Who has access to the data

  • You, and the people you invite to your portfolio yourself, with the role you assign to them.
  • The providers the app runs on: Supabase (database and sign-in, servers in London), DigitalOcean (hosting the app, London) and Google (sign-in).
  • For prices and exchange rates, the app calls Yahoo Finance, the Czech National Bank and Eurostat. It only sends them ticker symbols and dates, never any data about you.
  • AI assistants (e.g. Claude by Anthropic or ChatGPT by OpenAI), but only if you connect them in Settings and explicitly allow it. They get read-only access and see what you ask about in the chat; from there the data is governed by their provider's terms. You can revoke access at any time.

How long we keep the data

For as long as you use your account. The owner of a portfolio can delete it in the app at any time. To have your whole account deleted or to get a copy of your data, send us an email and we will handle it within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.cz).
